Over a week later Brenda and I went for a walk, and she exclaimed,
"Julia, those roses you arranged for me are still ALIVE! All the roses Bob ever gives me DIE!”

Most people bring roses home from the grocer, or wherever they got them, and “plunk them in a vase.” They simply put any old temperature of water into any old vase, clean or dirty, and un-wrap the roses and stick them in the vase.
